Anything worth accomplishing takes time, patience and effort, especially when the goal is a big one. The thought of losing weight can be overwhelming when you are unsure how long it will take and if you will succeed. Learn to think PROGRESS not PERFECTION. All the little shifts you make will add up to large changes overall. This won’t happen overnight, but your success will be cumulative as daily choices repeated add up your results—(bad) or GOOD!

Christmas week will be a challenge all the way around. Exercise will be compromised and excess sugar and carbs will be on every counter. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t follow the program exactly for a couple of days. Focus on the positive. If you are exercising and eating clean most days, one day won’t set you back in the grand scheme of things. Remind yourself that you are still moving forward. AND, set a date before the week starts of what your perfect “back on Day 1” will be! Don’t let one ‘cheat’ drive another day, then another day of poor sugary, holiday-habit choices.
